The schooner paintings I've been doing recently are all based on photos that I took from the Victory Chimes during the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race in the early 2000s. Talk about boat heaven! I took a lot of pictures, but now I wish I'd taken more. I'd love to do that trip again. I'm really enjoying painting these, though I'm finding a lot of challenges in them. This is #28 for the 30-in-30 challenge (6"x6") (I'm posting it a day early because I won't be able to paint Thursday or Friday, so I'm trying to finish up my 30 paintings by Wednesday)
