First Painting for "30 Paintings in 30 Days" Challenge

I just learned of this "Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days" challenge a day or two ago.  The challenge is to paint 30 paintings in January and post them daily to the host's blog here.  Over 500 artists have already signed up, and thousands have joined in previous challenges.  I was planning (hoping) to spend January doing daily paintings anyway, but was on the fence about signing up for the challenge. Then I saw that an artist friend from a recent painting workshop was doing it, and that was enough to inspire me to try it.  So this is the first painting that I uploaded for the challenge today.  It'll be interesting!
