Now this one I love. I needed this after the last few! At this point, this is possibly the best I am capable of painting this scene. I will probably return to it again in the future because it is such a lovely image --- the colors, the play of light and shadow, the motion, and the classical pyramidal composition. It is from a photo of my mom with my brother and me at Gulf Shores. In working on this, I looked for guidance to the luminescent seaside paintings of the amazing John Asaro. This is #11 in the 30-in-30 challenge and it is 6x6".
