Just Wading

Well, I have decided to participate in the Leslie Saeta 30-in-30 painting challenge again --- a great incentive to paint a painting a day for thirty days, starting January 1, 2016.  So this is #1!  I did not actually paint this entire painting today, but I finished it today.  It is 16x16" and I started it two days ago.  I am frustrated by the color of this image because the blues are not even close to the actual color of the painting, and there are no purples in the sand!  I wasn't able to correct it with my elementary Photoshop skills, but at least the value relationships are all right.  That's what I get for using an iPhone to take the photo.  Lesson learned: use a real camera.
