Ripples and Tatters

I can hardly believe it's day 29 of the 30-in-30 challenge!  It has really been a challenge --- it seems like each day I have picked a subject that really forced me to work hard and stretch the limits of my skills.  Today, on the other hand, I was tired, so I chose a subject that was less demanding.  I still find clouds and water to be challenging, but not nearly so much as human or animal faces with all their complexity.  This is from a photo taken of the Gulf off Galveston at sunset.  I omitted the line of tankers and other vessels dotting the horizon -- it would be too hard to discern what they were anyway.  This painting is 6x6".
