Grandma and Baby Ruth
I'm kind of in awe of this one and yesterday's painting because they both far exceeded what I thought I could do. Maybe I tapped into some extra inspiration because I have tender feelings toward these photos from when I was a little girl. Here I am with my father's mother, who passed away before I ever got to know her as an adult. My shadowy memories of her involve her kind face and delicious limeade. The likeness isn't exact but it is pretty close, I think. This is #12 in the 30-in-30 challenge, and it is 6x8". Click on the image for a larger view.
