Green-Eyed Girl

Equal time for cats!  I've done three dogs in a row, so I thought it was time to try a cat again.  This beautiful kitty was in a cage at an adoption event at last fall's Artoberfest in Galveston.  The cage bars were in the photo, but I left them out, which wasn't difficult because most of the kitty was visible.  I don't know why, but I am finding cats more challenging than in the past.  It could be because I am expecting more from myself now, but that doesn't explain why I am not as frustrated by painting dogs.  I do feel that this kitty is better than the kitty I did for #7 in the 30-in-30 challenge, and that suggests that daily painting practice makes a difference even in a short time period.  This is 6x8" and it is #26 in the challenge.
