Finally, a day to sit down and do a daily painting! This one is 6x6" and it is from "life" --- he is a beloved tiny little tiger toy from my childhood. I had on hand a bunch of photo references I've been eager to paint, but none of them seemed right this evening. This little fellow came to mind and I went and got him out of the curio cabinet where my childhood animals are kept. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely happy with the likeness. It doesn't truly capture his beat-up, long-suffering but sweet and plucky aspect (yes, I may be anthropomorphizing a toy animal). I could have kept fussing with him for hours but I've found that when I get to the fussing point that's when I usually ruin a painting.
